Needs Improvement
0 of 3 found this helpful The cut-out voltage is set too low at 12.8v and there is no way of adjusting this. On a hot day my battery can maintain 12.9volts for several hours. So, the unit does not switch off.
The only way that I can get it to switch off is to: Turn the engine off. Then turn the ignition back on along with the headlights with full beam, the heater fan on full and wind both windows up and down. This lowers the battery voltage and it then switches off!
It is a ridiculous situation which could be cured simply by have a 'POT' to adjust the shut off voltage.
Might as well just put in a master switch!
