Originally, I joined eBay back in the 1990's, but I returned in 2011 where I began selling gaming miniatures, some odds and ends, basically items that I had that could be sold to help pay bills. However, ironically, on September 10th, 2022 my father passed away and I received his collection of HO Scale model railroad locomotives, freight cars, track and other items. One train in particular, a Virginia & Truckee Railroad 4-4-0 Genoa, was damaged but still showed signs of working. For the next couple of months, I acquired parts, learned how it worked and how to fix it and got it running again. By that time, I'd become skilled enough to do general repairs on similar steam locomotives like the 2-4-0 JW Bowker, and most steam locomotive 4-4-0 American Standard versions. Since that time, I've gone from a couple of locomotives, to a work table / layout where I have dozens of these locomotives, many in pieces, that I fix and sell on eBay for others to enjoy.

STAR WARS ROGUE ONE C2-B5 ELITE SERIES DIE CAST FIGURE 4.5" *Box has small dent

Definitely the droid I was looking for!
For anyone who loves the cute astromech droids from the Star Wars franchise, the Elite Series C2-B5 astromech droid from the Rogue One movie is a fantastic addition to your collection. Everyone knows R2-D2, the legendary R2 unit who, along with his partner C-3P0, first appeared in Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977. Since that time, we've been deluged with all sorts of versions and variations, with back stories to go along with them. Disney now loves to release new variants to collectors of the standard action figures...but this Elite Series C2-B5 is much, much more. Standing at 4.5" tall, C2-B5 is taller than your standard action figure droid, which usually comes in around half that size. However, what makes this figure an impressive find is the fact that it is DIE-CAST METAL. That's right...this astromech droid is made out of metal, which means that unlike its plastic counterparts, this droid will stand the test of time...so long as you don't drop him. With a black paint job and highlights, this unit is definitely something different from the old R2 unit we've come to know and love...which makes the C2-B5 unit even more interesting. Is it a repainted version of the R2 unit...well, yeah...but it's still really cool, and it's a neat tie-in with the Rogue One Star Wars movie, where the C2-B5 unit was featured. Either by itself or as a part of a larger droid collection, this astromech is definitely a nice addition to your collection...and for the price it averages at (around $15.00) it isn't bad at all.

Middle-Earth fans rejoice!
For years, United Cutlery has been known for their incredible sword re-creations from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. When The Hobbit was released, that quality was again put on display. The Hobbit 'Orcrist' sword of Thorin Oakenshield is a beautiful addition to any Lord of the Rings / The Hobbit fan's collection. As shown in the movies, this beautiful sword is a work of art brought to life. Any collector would be proud to have this in their collection.
Bandai Tamashii Nations Mecha Collection UX-01 "Star Blazers 2199" Action Figure

Know what you're getting
Bandai has always done an excellent job in creating units that represent the various television shows they create models for. This one is no different. For Space Battleship Yamato, one of the lesser known, but highly popular vessels is the UX-01, essentially the Garmillas version of a German U-Boat...in space. It played a pivotal role in the show and is one of the units fans love. So, Bandai released it for the fans. Here's the problem... If you're thinking that the model is going to be anywhere near the size of the Yamato, be prepared to be disappointed. The UX-01 is 4" in length from stem to stern. That's right...4" It looks nice, but you're looking at an close-up image of the model once assembled, and it is very tiny, fitting in the palm of your hand. Now, assembly is a snap...no really, everything fits together seamlessly, without glue. Just snip the pieces, follow the directions, found on the inside of the box, and within an hour or less, your UX-01 Garmillas Space U-Boat will be fully assembled. Is it disappointing to find that the model is so tiny? Yes, but when you consider the scale of the model, it isn't that bad. Personally, I have one of the Bandai Soul of Popynica Space Battleship Yamato BPX-01 versions, which is about 1/1000 scale. Next to this, the UX-01 is actually very close in scale, so while I would love to have a larger model to display, it fits in nicely with my Yamato. The only major problem I would state is that it would be appreciated if the seller would list how big the model is, so that buyers can have a better idea of what they're paying for. I only paid $8.00+ for the model, which isn't bad at all. However, I've seen similar versions of the same model posted for much more. Showing how big the model is once assembled would go a long way toward giving a buyer important information they need prior to purchasing. Overall Grade: B
