Excellent value
1 of 1 found this helpful Im using this in my 11 year old dell d630. This processor is fast and can help your computer keep up with newer machines. It runs cool (35 C) when doing basic tasks and a bit warmer (40 C) when web browsing. This allows me to keep my fan off most of the time. For the price it is a good value buy, and I would especially recommend a ram upgrade to go with it. If you're looking for a lightweight os to run with your aging laptop, I found that Lubuntu works well with this processor, it finds the proprietary intel drivers easily.
