Neewer 1.25" Four Color Filter Set for Telescope Eyepiece:Red/Yellow/Grreen/Blue

    Great little filters!
These filters are a wonderful value, with little to no distortion involved. I got them for lunar and planetary observation and they've outdone themselves, considering how little I was expecting for the price. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for good color filters on a budget!

Celestron PowerSeeker 114EQ 4.5 in. Newtonian Reflector Telescope

Easy to knock out of collimation, but great once it's fine tuned
I'd like to start this review by saying that this is indeed a great scope. Once fully collimated it's incredibly sharp and gives beautiful quality views. But, there are a few issues. It's very easy to knock out of collimation if the screws aren't tight enough. The slow motion controls can get in the way when trying to pan in certain directions. The finderscope is kinda junk. But beyond that, it is a great starter scope and I would definitely recommend for someone trying out German equatorial mounts for the first time, though perhaps not as a first reflector.

Miniature Orchid: Psygmorchis pusilla with flower spike
    Jan 08, 2017
Not mounted properly, died within weeks
I received this orchid about a month and a half ago. At first I was very pleased with it, as there were three flower spikes and an unexpected young plant. I always suspected that it was mounted with the sphagnum moss a little too high around it's leaves, but having been unable to find any information on it I left it how it was. Well, apparently my instincts proved correct: I had to throw away the rotten carcass of this plant this morning. I watered it once every two days as a mounted plant requires, kept an eye on it, but it still went downhill very quickly (it looked fine the last time I watered it) and died suddenly. The younger fan is in a pot over (not in) some sphagnum moss and is doing well, growing new roots, etc. That's the only thing that brings this review from one star to two, is that the seedling is thriving. Not pleased with my purchase.
