2 of 2 found this helpful Circle works as expected, however it has some significant shortcomings. It looks like development is adding features rapidly, so I'm keeping it. I'm pairing with other parental control solutions to achieve a solution for my family for now.
• only monitors one network name (SSID) - if you want to monitor cell data use, multiple access points or a guest network you have to adjust - or get circle go app $5/mo. Mesh networks, 2G/5G, & extenders are ok. (Ref OurPact or Norton Family)
• Circle Go app on Android uses a VPN, which impacts battery life. iOS works differently.
• 'Pause' is great, but I want to set a time frame like 'Pause until 8:00'. (Ref OurPact)
• Shared devices: each device can only be assigned to one person so there's no good option if you have a desktop with multiple logins, e.g. kids &/or adults. An adult can manually reassign the device, but there's no set & forget. (Ref. Norton Family)
