Awesome and affordable
If you're looking for a decent carry knife for little cash, look here. Yes, it's made in China, but the knife I received is well put together. The blade opens smoothly and locks up tight, and the LAWKS safety is easily engaged (or not, it's your choice). Grinds are even and clean on both sides of the blade. The edge is very sharp out of the box and it cuts well. The newer versions (the green box version, not the tan box) have a charcoal gray semi-matte finish on the blade and pocket clip, not the flat black of the previous generation. Still, it's a good looking piece. The Zytel handles are molded with a very fine texture on them - when I first picked it up, I thought the scales were aluminum, not plastic. The pocket clip allows for a reasonably deep carry, and dual thumb studs are good for ambidextrous use. All in all, this is a sweet EDC knife at twice the price, but for around $20, it's an absolute steal.

Still the best OOB model of the F-15E
Even though this kit first saw the light of day almost 20 years ago (Sept.2000), the molds have held up well and it is still the best, out-of-the-box model of the Strike Eagle on the market. Assembly is straightforward, with no surprises, and builds into a very accurate Desert Storm era Mudhen. Early boxings of this kit were lacking ordinance, but later issues corrected the problem. There is a lot of research material on this airframe, as well as a ton of aftermarket support, so you can build one from mild to wild.
