Vortex is quality
2 of 2 found this helpful Vortex has one of, if not the best, warranty in the optics world. They're tough, dependable, reliable and accurate. I mounted this particular Vortex on my patrol rifle and use it for Law Enforcement use. I trust Vortex with my life and this optic has zeroed perfectly with no issues.

Pleased with first impression
Seems to be of quality build and materials. Initial assessment seems to be as good or better than some mounts costing considerably more. Long term reliability is unknown, but seems to be a winner.

Eats batteries
Quality of build is nice, no rattles, no loose fitting switches or parts. Biggest complaint is battery usage. I've tried three different brands of batteries, Panasonic that came with the battery, Duracell and Energizer lithium. Batteries don't last long at all. I mounted my light to my search and rescue helmet thinking the light would provide a great hands free light. I'm getting approximately 1 hour total run time.
