Swiss Diamond 7” fry pan is thick injection-molded aluminum with a proprietary non-stick coating containing crushed diamond particles. The non-stick surface works very well as very little oil needed, just shaking the pan will free what you are cooking. I use a spatula to flip eggs, and due to the durability of the diamonds it is ok to use metal utensils. The thick metal holds the heat like cast iron but heats up faster, being aluminum.
I own several Swiss Diamond pans and for several years now, and it is my opinion that for the average home cook you can’t do better than these pans. They are well made and should last for a lifetime. I highly recommend.
