BlackBerry 8330 and a first-time user
1 of 1 found this helpful This is my first time with a smart phone. My wife has both a BlackBerry and an LG full screen something or other. She said the BB was probably better for emails. So I bought a used one.
Little did I know that I needed to have the CD that went with it. The Desk Top Manager to which the refer repeatedly needs to be on your computer. If you Google it, you find leads. But if you follow those leads, you don't even find the term Desk Top Manager. And no explanation about where it is or how to get it. From piecing together info, I decided: 1. The original version must have been on the Tools CD (which I didn't get) and 2. The newer BBs must have the elements I needed from DTM loaded in them.
What I needed was a way to eliminate all the phone numbers the previous owner did not delete. And also the apps I don't want. And the links to emails, etc.
All in all, I think using the BlackBerry is very complicated. It takes a determined user just to get up and running.
So, as of this moment, I have not transfered the phone to my Verizon account. And if I can't figure out how to clean it up file-wise, I'll keep with my LG metal phone with which I can pound nails.

Decent sharpener
Especially for the money. Could be a touch heavier and the sharpening mechanism looks like it won't last years and years but for the touch ups I need in between major machine sharpening, it's perfect.

Perfect size for brass firepit
Can't say anything bad a bout it but it does fade from black to gray over time. For me, that's not a problem. But, it's true.
