The story is an old fashioned English love story.
It is a light story. Stories such as these are great at bedtime. If it puts me to sleep I simply play the cd again the next night. I was a bit disappointed with the reader whose pace is faster than I like and whose voice imitation of the main male character did not fit the description.

Ned and Stacey writers and original actors should return with a sequel.
1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased the series after seeing Ned and Stacey episodes on TVGN in 2012. I liked this series so much that I would love to see a sequel using the same actors and continuing on the same themes but with growth in the characters. It was a well written and even believable piece of comedy. The humor was inserted so cleverly that I frequently laughed out loud. Although the show originally aired years earlier, I did not watch the series until 2012, yet it did not feel outdated. It seemed that Ned and Stacey were on their way to something more in their relationship when the series abruptly ended. Clarity and sound of the DVD's was excellent.

The Curious Curate is not the best MCBeaton story and the MP3 format is not my preferred audio.
The issue I have with audiobooks in MP3 format is that they do not have enough stop or rewind points. If one misses something he cannot go back but must listen again to an entire chapter. If audiobooks are used at bedtime, rather than stopping play after an hour, MP3 versions drone on and on causing wakefulness and irritation rather than sleep. Newer MP3 players have a sleep timer and this solves some issues.
On this particular MP3 the voice of the narrator is excellent, the story is good, and it can be reviewed again and again.
