Quality Vanes
On mechanical and field points you may not see a difference between these and blazers. It’s possible you may like how they handle fixed broadheads. Overall really not higher just have a little different shape/more material/ridges. They are a grain or so heavier per vane. Use a prep pen (I have a TAP from Lowe’s) before gluing. Have no bonding trouble with loctite ultra. Some say they are louder but I think the difference is negligible.

Great little devotional type story card included in the package:

Clean breaking trigger in a beefy, well made housing. Set at about 3lb from the factory. It needed zero adjusting for me.
I installed it on a 1976 chambered in 25-06. No additional stock fitting. Dropped right in...bolt release didn't need bending for me either.
If you want a quality replacement trigger, this is about as good as you will get in that $100-$125 range.

Built well...Just OK ice retention
Bought this for an extended canoe trip. Size was perfect and it was lighter than some other ~25qt options. There are several great reviews of the deep blue out on the web. The cooler was rugged and stood up to rough handling on the portages. We just were not impressed with the ice keeping ability when compared to other coolers in the group. This was disappointing because of the online reputation the Engel had developed with some of the "ice challenges" out there.
