Yes but
2 of 3 found this helpful I bought this lens because of it's range. I wanted a lens that could go to 300 mm to take photos of birds and planes and boats. My wife's cousin has the same kind of camera but has a 70-210 lens which is much more expensive but is better. Am I happy with what I've got; to a point. The review's (kenrockwell) says it's not a true Nikon. I don't mind. It does what I want and isn't heavy. It's not so good in poor light but I didn't want to pay 3 times the price for a modest improvement.
