Great summer read/author!
I stumbled on the first book in this 3 book mini-series at a "neighborhood mini-library" in someone's front yard. It looked like a good summer read. The story immediately hooked me! I found the 2nd book at our public library and the third here on e-bay! Book was in great condition, was a fair price and shipping was quick! Awesome author, can't put it down, great storylines! Highly recommend! I'll be looking for other books by this author!

Very entertaining read!
Loved the storyline of this book. I also loved the perspectives from which the author told the story--she mixed up the timeline...moving back and forth from present day to long ago to years in between...she also switched telling the story from the two main characters' point of view. The writing was humorous and engaging--I loved the story and it held my interest through two plane flights, waiting in two airports and my time on vacation!

Very enjoyable story.
Great book! The author says she was inspired in her style of writing by Laura Ingalls Wilder and her "Little House" books. I can see the similarity, although this series is about an Amish family. I very much enjoyed reading it, as well as the second book. I can't wait to start the third when it arrives! Although the back of the book says the story is for 8-12 year olds, I very much enjoyed it as an adult. :-) Happy Reading!
