Carrying case for Dell Latitude 11in model 5175 and 5179 Handy and functional
1 of 1 found this helpful This case says that it fits the Dell Latitude 11 model 5179 but it will also fit the model 5175 that has a 4mm shallower back. The case is good quality and protects the tablet fairly well. The keyboards that Dell sells separately to fit this tablet will NOT attach to the tablet while the external case is attached. The instructions to fit the case to the tablet were located INSIDE the case and it was difficult to determine, how to get the case open without the instructions. The front cover has a clip on the edge and then you remove that then pull the front screen off and lay the tablet inside the back. You might have to loosen the rubber covers on the sides of the back, that protect the connections on the edge of the tablet, to get the front off. The thickness of the 5179 model is about 4mm more than the 5175 version, but both fit snugly into the case even though Dell indicates that a different version goes with the 5175. The model that Dell indicates to fit the model 5175 is THD463USZ but this is not listed on the Targus website as a valid model number. Targus indicates model numbers THD462USZ and THD464USZ are valid, but no 463 model is listed in their catalog. The hand hold in the back of the case is pretty well thought out and makes the tablet a lot easier to hold than without it. If you have the keyboard with the pencil then it is better than the Folio version keyboard. The hand hold can slide down the back of the case to make a triangle that will provide the support to hold the tablet upright for viewing if you want to sit it on a table.

Lids of to hard to open bottles
The Black and Decker Lids Off Electric Jar opener is great for the elderly and handicapped who have trouble opening jars. It works best with glass jars as it needs to grip the bottle/jar firmly in the lower jaws to adjust to the diameter of the jar. Large and small jars don't seem to be a problem and diameter of the jars can be as small as about 2 inches up to 6-7 inches.at the bottom and lids can be about the same diameter range. You can easily handle a 5 inch bottle bottom and a 2-3 inch lid opening. My friend had one for almost 15 years and finally wore it out where the bottom adjustment was hard to open and close; hence the search for a replacement. The unit is fairly quiet and easily used with one hand opening which can be important for stroke victims.

Stuck drawers or windows. Door-Ease to the rescue
Stuck drawers or windows. Door-Ease to the rescue. Drawers have a way of sticking from summer to winter and sometimes for no reason will stick when opening or closing. Door Ease is a quick and simple way to fix the problem without resorting to cutting or sanding. This may not solve all your door or drawer problems but it's a first line of defense in fixing the problem if it happens intermittently. If the stick is consistent then a light sanding or cutting may be a permanent solution. Using Door Ease can help you detect where the problem is stemming from by putting it on the runners and looking for where the Door Ease has worn off after a few opening and closing of the suspect piece. I've used this product for years and finally ran out and found that it was still in production. It's a pretty cheap tool to keep around in the "junk drawer." We all have one for those tool hiding places that defy description that you can never find when you need them. Add this to your hiding place. Door Ease works best on wood to wood contact as it adheres well to those surfaces. Sticky doors are also a candidate for this product. Squeaky door hinges may also work if you can lubricate the pin rather than using oil as it sticks better to vertical surfaces than the oil will.
