Another GREAT album by SONIA DADA!
If you're a fan of Sonia Dada, you already own this album or don't need me telling you how good it is to decide. For anyone that is actually "on the fence" and has heard anything else by them. STOP reading and bid or click BUY IT NOW. If you're not too familiar with SONIA DADA, then this isn't a bad album to start with as it has a good mix of their styles. I'd put them somewhere in the Soul/Folk Rock sound with a touch of the old R&B. If you're a fan of groups like The Dave Matthews Band and Al Green, you'll enjoy Sonia Dada. This is music that is worth consuming yourself with, quality sounds with meaningful lyrics.
This album kicks off with SCREAMING JOHN which happens to be one of my favorites by them, it melds into the next track LAST PARADE (CRAZY LADY) which is another great tune. TAKE ME BACK is a short track that has a very Gospel sound, then they move forward to LAY MY BODY DOWN which keeps a Gospel feel but infuses some rock back into it.
Near the end is another awesome track, AMAZING JANE, which once again is one of my favorites. This is a very soulful, melodic song but has enough kick to turn the stereo up and indulge your ears into it.
The worst thing I could say is that there may be, as in most albums, a track or two that won't get your attention but the album as a whole is definitely worthy of 4 to 5 stars!
I played it as soon as I got it in the mail and a friend over at the house immediately was interested. So there you go, good & infectious sound. :)
