Works for clear QAM
1 of 1 found this helpful I used these cable cards for clear QAM. My cable company is Optimum/Cablevision, now Altice. Optimum supplies NDS cards in my area. These SA cards worked fine for clear QAM channels on additional outlets.

Excellent receiver that needs space around it to disapate the heat
0 of 1 found this helpful This is a feature packed receiver with excellent sound quality. My only complaint is that it runs hot. I measured a constant 130F near the HDMI board in the back. The amplifier heat sink ran from 115F to 125F under normal use. Keep this thing in a well ventilated space. I have kept mine in use for more than 24 hours straight a few times with no problems.
