If you use the online feature it is very easy to program. You can actually pick up programming from earlier models if you have them stored online

Product works well after deep dive into software
There’s an issues with the Cannoscan software. You have to go into the Advanced settings using the Scanner driver to select anything other than 35mm Film. Cannon support was and manuals were silent about this important fact. I was trying to scan slides in the slide tray. It took me several hours of work before I found the actual setting. It worked fine after that.
