Great Monitor/Awful setup

This is the best monitor I’ve ever had. 5K with incredible detail, great color. Downside… no on off switch, no LED to let you know it has power. Setting it up with a new mac mini was a struggle. Nothing on screen. Had to boot up new computer to my tv. When setup was done, the mini recognized the monitor and I was in business. Fault LG for a really lousy setup manual, lousy online documentation. Little in apple support. If I was a newbie or without alternatives, would have failed getting it all to work. Suggestions for LG/Apple: power light, on/off button, much better setup materials.
