Good Price but with Compromises
0 of 4 found this helpful Wanted to build cheap "gaming" PC for the wife since modern parts are extremely over priced right now. Friend recommended this board but wasn't really paying attention to the specifications. Didn't realize it was DDR3 so the DDR4 ram I got wouldn't work, the layout of the board is also frustrating. Everything is so close together. CPU cooler covers first ram slot so currently only using slots 2 and 4. All PCIE slots also close together. GPU covers bottom two slots and since the Mobo doesn't have onboard sound it needed a separate sound card which I couldn't plug in because of the GPU cover the two slots. So, had to buy separate smaller adapter that had just enough room to fit under GPU. Just to basically smash all the parts/cords together but it works so I ain't complaining. Might just turn this into a Server computer when modern props finally drop so I can build myself a proper PC and give my wife my current set up.
