Kaine's path to redemption
A very interesting story focusing on the 'bad' clone of Peter Parker attempting to turn his life around. Long story short, Kaine Parker was the original clone of Spider-Man made during the Clone Saga. But defects caused him to slowly start dying and go crazy on a murder spree. He resurfaced years later and helped Spider-Man fight Kraven the Hunter's family. But after being reborn and 'cured' during Spider Island, Kaine left to pursue a new life. This first volume shows him trying to be a hero and live up to the mantle of the original Scarlet Spider, Parker clone Ben Reilly. I recommend this for fans of Spider-Man and those who like something a bit different. I'd like to state that this new Scarlet Spider is very different to both the original and Spider-Man but has a lot of potential.
