Better than expected
First off, these are not actually knives with alternating layers of steel that makes it a true Damascus - it is a laser etched finish to mimic Damascus patterning. Second, they are not made in Japan. So those are my primary complaints.
Aside from that, they were better than expected out of the box. Shaving sharp and able to cut paper. Bit of a toothy edge, semi-uneven bevel grind and not polished, but that is easily touched up on whetstones. All in all, I’m satisfied with my purchase.

Wonderful
One of the rarities. Perhaps not as much as the F40, which is fetching astronomical prices. I’ll hang onto it for a good long while.
