Fits snug inside buffer spring seams to do the job bolt stops closer to magwell after installing have not shot yet was using a stack of quarters in rear of buffer tube to test fire my ar9 I’ll imagine this is thicker than my quarter stack was so the failure I experienced when a shell got stuck behind my magwell should be eliminated with this installed
