Not a simple direct replacement

This engine is not a direct replacement for a TB22 trimmer. The issue is the length of the connecting rod journal is too long and interferes with the crankcase cover. Not sure why it is longer than the original but it is. This requires the unfortunate need to discard the the new crankcase and make the rebuild a Top End only repair. This is acceptable as the lower end is typically not damaged by a top end failure. This detail is NOT mentioned in the advertisement for this item.
