Very respectable sounding pickups
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought a pair of these to upgrade from the stock ceramic pickups on a far Eastern built guitar, and they do what I wanted them to do. One of the things which appealed to me is that they don't have an overwound bridge pickup, as many affordable sets do. With their alnico II magnets and relatively conservative output level, they have a good balanced classic humbucker sound which works well clean as well as overdriven. They are tidily built and the only thing which distinguishes them visually from more expensive pickups is the brass baseplate, where most of the premium pickups use nickel silver. However, I suspect that any difference this makes to the performance is minimal. I would be quite happy to use these in my main gigging instrument.
