This is a great cymbal. The Agop 30th Anniversary line is beautiful and complex and is perhaps the closest thing to original cymbals from the past.
Pearl Convertible Flat-based Cymbal Stand - Straight Stand

Lightweight innovation and really great sounding
I was looking for a couple stands to lighten up the stand case not knowing much more than having some experience with Pearls quality in build and chrome plating. The reversible part sounded interesting to me and, indeed, I did reverse the bottom part and is still very compact. Nice little bit of ingenuity there. My biggest surprise was the sound of my thinner Istanbul Agop cymbals. I reversed the pads on the tilter, putting the smaller pad on the bottom and the feel and sound is crazy good and quite unexpected. The cymbals are free to move on the rounded pad - There is better stick articulation - Overall fundamental wash and sound is more focused - The cymbal will position will stay for the most part and not migrate as easily to its preferred spot - The bell is not always very forward with the Agop Signatures, but does come through a little clearer. Would have been happy with the build and cool features alone. The sound makes them my preferred stands now. Way to go Pearl!

Works really nicely. I just leave it attached to my pedal. The ease of just setting the drum onto the lift and being able to pull away makes for a really quick setup. The idea of not attaching anything to my new Canopus Yaiba bass drum rim really appealed to me as well.
