A museum piece.
Awesome clock. Sweep second hand in the truest sense. Minimalist yet elegant design.

In the world of speakers
bigger is better. These are natural sounding speakers with fantastic transient response and real, not boombox bass. They are quite large. Each contains two 12” woofers, eight 2.5” tweeters, and a 6” midrange and this particular set is wired up for optional bi-amping. If you’re serious about music, you will make the space for these monsters.

Nice for the price.
1 of 1 found this helpful It may not be the fastest computer, or the lightest or the one with the longest battery life but it is fun to use and with a few tweaks, will have you zipping along in no time flat. Battery life on a full charge is about four to five hours with screen brightness and performance set to the max. I plug it in most of the time.
I got it to boot up in 3, count them, 3 seconds by upgrading the ram from the stock 6gb to the max 16 gb and swapping out the hdd with an ssd. The added benefits are that the machine is lighter, quieter (as in silent} and cooler (as in temperature) All this with modestly priced, used parts. I recommend that you use the same brand ram that came with the machine as other brands may not work as well, as I discovered.
Taking it apart is a bit of a challenge at first and requires the use of a spudger (a plastic pry tool) so as not to mar the case. They are inexpensive and readily available on Amazon or Ebay. I recommend that you download the free service manual from the HP website before proceeding.
This laptop is a joy to use. The keyboard is comfortable, and well spaced. The red lit keys are beautiful as well as functional, and the Star Wars extras, particularly the sound effects, are fun, even if you're not a fan.
The only issue is the touch pad. Its not as responsive as I would like, but then, I'm not a fan of touch pads and fortunately it comes with a wireless mouse. I think most users will enjoy this machine.
