EZ-DUZ-IT equates to pre-China Swing-Away
Like many many other buyers, I find this EZ-DUZ-IT can opener to be the continuing equivalent, in quality and design, of the old Swing-Away opener, that was the gold standard from the 1950s onward until Swing-Away manufacturing was outsourced to China about ten or twenty years ago. About a year or two ago, I bought a Swing-Away again, expecting it to be the same quality product as it was over most of my life (60-odd years now). The [modern] Swing-Away was good for the first year or so, but then it wore out and became unable to fully open my tuna cans. I then found out through web research that yes, others also reported this problem, and that when the Swing-Away moved to China, an American company purchased the previous production line, machines, dies, etc., and that purchaser ("Steuby" company, in Missouri, I think) had resumed production of the classic Swing-Away opener under the EZ-DUZ-IT name. I bought it, and I like it very much.
