I've purchased several of these and keep...
I've purchased several of these and keep on giving them to friends who are impressed with the sound (and compact size) of the speaker. So I come here for more.

One of the few home HD radios out there. Works well.
Purchased two (one for a friend) and both are working well. The sound is decent from the built in speakers but it's much better if you plug it into a pair of computer speakers - especially if they have tone control (a feature missing on the Insignia). I keep it on AC adapter so cannot say how long it runs on batteries. Both units have somewhat fragmented text display of the artist/song (it's there but not all that easy to read) but the other display elements frequency, station ID, signal strength are solid. My friend has her's on the top of a refrigerator, with the antenna extended two feet, and gets good signals (Los Angeles area). Takes maybe 2 seconds to latch onto the HD signal. Presets easy to enter. It's small-ish and easy to put on a shelf.
