Excellent Leica M Wide Angle Lens - Does Not Disappoint!
1 of 1 found this helpful This Leica M 28mm f/2.8 Asph MF lens is super sharp, excellent contrast and color, light weight, and easy to focus with the small lens hood. This lens will exceed your expectations for landscape, travel, photojournalism and street photography. This lens is razor sharp from f/2.8 and gets even better down to f/8. Even at f/11 to f/16 this lens does excellent. I have found there is no issue with flare, coma, no visible distortion and very minimal vignetting. It is almost as good at the Leica M 28mm f/2.0 Summicron but at half the price. If you find your needing a wide angle for the aforementioned types of photography, this lens will not disappoint you in the least.

Sharp, Lightweight and Versatile
This manual focus Leica R series lens renders sharp, crisp images across the frame at nearly all apertures. The lens is versatile as this lens can be used not only on the former R series cameras but the Leica M and SL camera systems. I have found this lens and other R lenses preform with superb imaging qualities with the Leica SL (Type 601) camera. It also works quite well on the Leica M10 with live view too. Don't forget if you are going to use R series lenses, you need adapters that fit the Leica M or SL cameras. In my opinion, I found the Leica R to M or R to L adapters work best with the R series lenses.

Best Leica M 90mm Lens Ever! This Lens Will Not Disappoint You
4 of 4 found this helpful This Leica M 90mm f/2.8 Elmarit MF lens is super sharp, excellent with contrast and color, light weight, uses 46mm filters and easy to focus even with the small build in lens hood. Although no longer made by Leica, this lens will exceed your expectations for landscape, travel, portraits, photojournalism and street photography. This lens is razor sharp from f/2.8 and gets even better down to f/8. Even at f/11 to f/16 this lens does excellent. I have found there is no issue with flare, coma, no visible distortion and very minimal vignetting. In my opinion, this lens is as good as the current 90mm f/2.0 M APO Summicron but at half the price, size and weight. If you find yourself needing a moderate telephoto for the aforementioned types of photography, this lens will not disappoint you in the least. If you can find one in excellent condition, I suggest you buy it. Last, if you get one without the 6 bit coding, either Leica will code the lens for you for a nominal cost or you can get a coding kit and do it yourself.
