1970’s nostalgia collection
This is a forgotten gem from the late 1970’s post-DC Implosion era. While there are arguably better war tales from the ‘50’s and ‘60’s, this tome captures the feel of the late 1970’s era better than most books. A great deal for nearly 500 pages, featuring all issues of “Men of War.” Recommended for those who want a whiff of nostalgia or those who want a different take on war comics.

Classic 1970’s DC stories
For fans of Cary “Surprise” Bates or 1970’s DC, this classic collection reprints one of the more popular stories of its era. Kitschy in hindsight, it recalls the beginnings of long form storytelling. Best for those nostalgic fans who want to recapture fond memories. Great as a memorium on your bookshelf.

Alone in the Universe.
Wonderful to have Jeff Lynne back. The songwriting on this album is strong. While I’d have preferred more classic ELO touches, this is a nice comeback album. While “From Out of Nowhere” captures the feeling of ‘80’s ELO better, “Alone in the Universe” is a worthy collection (especially the first track, “When I was a Boy”).
