Suitable
Went from an older cross model that Looked nicer (wood thicker with better finish), but CD player and tape player stopped working. Took it for repair, but could not find parts.
This Victrola model looks cheaper. The instructions for playing tapes was hard to understand; it took me a couple of weeks to figure it out. Also, there is only one button that operates the cassette player, a fast forward if pressed 1/2 way down and ejects tape if pressed completely down. (Guess I'm used to the old cassette players that also record.)
The sound is OK, not excellent, and whether it is the old tapes or the player itself is hard to tell. Not too expensive, and all functions work, which is what I was going for.
