Excellent high quality high fidelity gaming headset
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought this item in order to use for office-type video streaming. The microphone is fantastic--very clear speech without whistling sounds or sputters of any kind, even compared with a $200 Jabra office bluetooth headset. The sound in the ears is very clear, but you can tell there is a base-favoring quality to the sound ready to impress when the occasion requires it. This headset is optimized for gaming, with slightly heavy ear pods--most likely because of its loud base handling and surround sound capability, and it hangs on to the head and ears quite tightly--presumably so it won't come loose as the gamer nods and shakes with each new kill victory. I also specifically wanted a wired headset, because I do my video streaming near the kitchen, and my microwave likes to interrupt the bluetooth signal- so I didn't want bluetooth for my video streaming tasks. (I think wired is also better for gaming, because bluetooth processing might impose a slight delay in the sound.) However, because of the heavy and tight on the ears characteristics, I found the headset just ever so slightly uncomfortable on my large head (squeezes more tightly on a larger head, right?), so I ended up returning it, but then again, I'm more sensitive to things hanging on my head and ears than other people might be. For gaming, this is a fantastic headset, I am sure, with a very clear microphone that will carry a very clear voice signal across the internet so that everyone can hear you, and with very clear, accurate, and fantastic gaming sound. If you're a gamer, don't hesitate to buy this headset--I think you'll enjoy it for many years.
