Moby Doesn't Score So Well With Me
On Moby's "I Like To Score" album you get to hear some of his original LP compilations before he "modified" them. I mostly like Moby's fast and hard techno mixes, so I was only able to find (4) songs on this CD worth saving, which were - James Bond Theme (Moby's Re-Version), Ah-Ah, I Like To Score, and New Dawn Fades. That's only 4 out of 12 songs (only 33% of the album). I find the other (8) songs to be too slow and boring for me. Going by the title of the album and the slow beat of the boring titles, I would say Moby was talking about a different kind of scoring (scoring with the ladies), because he certainly wasn't scoring real big with the music. Don't get me wrong, Moby does have some good titles out there to choose from, but you'll have to collect them first to hear them.

Great Sport-Style Sound From Sony
The Sony MDR-Q22LP Sport Headphones are perfect for walking activities. They are not like other older models which would snap-click and pinch your ears. Instead, these use spring-loaded hooks which are very comfortable and still remain snug on the ears. I have thoroughly tested these headphones in my normal exercise routine and they do not fall off my ears.
The interchangeable caps are a neat feature, but it's not something I really care about. However, someone who likes blue more than silver would probably love it. The headphones are packaged with a silver cap on one, and a blue cap on the other, so I did have to change one of them to silver for a matching pair. It was easy to do.
The cord length is 5 feet 3 inches from the L-plug to the Left headphone, which is plenty of cord to work with. The construction of the cord appears to me very well made, strong but flexible. The plug itself is in fact gold-plated for high quality signal delivery. The cord length from the Left headphone to the Right is 20.5 inches, which is considered as a neck chain type, but you can still run it behind the neck if you like (that's what I do).
Other specs:
The headphones themselves are the open-air dynamic type which are rated to handle 1,000 mW. They use a mylar diaphragm and a neodymium magnet. The driver units are 30 mm, which deliver a very noticeable level of bass. I find that the 24 ohm impedance, 20 - 24,000Hz response, and 103dB/mW sensitivity is ideal for my iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation mp3 player (which is why I bought them). It's also compatible with many other devices I have, but they sound better with my iPod. I haven't noticed any distortion at all, even at higher volumes.
I like everything about these headphones. They're easy to put on and take off the ears. They stay in place while I exercise. The wires don't get in my way. And most of all... they deliver rich quality sound considering the sport application they were designed for. I have no complaints.

It is the Electronica Genre at it's Best in 1997
1 of 1 found this helpful I like all but (1) song on this CD. Most of the songs on this CD is lively, up-beat, crisp and sharp Techno. I love (2) songs on this CD, Fluke's - Atom Bomb, and Juno Reactor's - God is God. I dislike Frankie Bones - Refuse to Fight - because it's too dull. The real reason why I bought this CD is because I was originally just looking for Fluke's - Atom Bomb - when I found this collection of various artists. I liked the idea of having a good Techno-mix from different artists, so I bought it. I'm glad I did, It's great!
