Better choices for the price
The lamp works fine, the base is the issue. Adjusting the top arm upwards usually pulls the entire lamp out of the base, which has no knobs to hold it in place or hold position of the lamp. I imagine this would be even more frustrating to someone with a drafting table.

Worked well but not very durable
I owned this adapter for a little over a month. It worked well when it was operational, but the construction is far from robust. When removing the adapter from a port recently, the adapter would only work from this point onwards when positioned a certain way in the port. All that was needed was a slight push downwards, but now even that has stopped working. Either treat it very delicately, or opt for a smaller adapter with less easily damaged parts

Worked well for a few weeks, now broken
This adapter randomly disconnects from the computer, showing no internet connection. This also happens when trying to connect to specific networks - it will shut off the entire adapter connection before resetting, and shutting down again in a loop.
