AC Origins is the TRUE Game of the Year 2017
Nothing against Zelda BOTW or Horizon Zero Dawn as both are excellent games in their own right, but AC Origins is VASTLY underrated compared to the two. It deserved GOTY much more than either of those two titles. There is way more depth to the RPG leveling up and customizing gameplay elements in AC Origins when you compare the three side by side. There is also just so much more to do in AC Origins overall in terms of variety in the game world. The core gameplay mechanics from platforming and world traversal, to combat responsiveness, to stealth and weapon customization are all technically superior in AC Origins.
