A good rainy day read!
2 of 2 found this helpful A delightful book--though sad and enlightening at the same time. I have particular interest in the book--my life long friend lived on Guernsey for many years and now lives on Alderney. I have always been curious about life on the islands during and after the WWII years. I hope to visit my friend and these islands in the near future. I live in the USA. Anyway, the 'letters, telegrams' that told the story was unusal, but so easy to follow as they told a story and it flowed nicely as the story unfolded. A very good read!!

Soir de Paris Not Evening in Paris
I was very disappointed in Soir de Paris. I had to spray it several times to just try to get a whiff of it. The scent is so light you can barely smell it and then it disappears all together. It is not Parfum---but just plan toilet water. I even sprayed it on my clothes----there is no lingering scent at all. The scent that I could capture for a moment before it dissipated was nothing like the Evening in Paris of the 1960's. I know this rendition was not going to be the exact fragrance, but this is awful and nothing like the original. For the $$ payed for this small bottle, I was gypped!!

TV Caddy
I like this TV caddy for my 4 remotes because it is slim and doesn't take up much room on my bedside table and recliner table in livingroom. Yes, I have two. The back support is what makes this caddy stable. Do not buy one that doesn't have one---there are plenty out there that don't have one. They won't hold up and will be too flimsy. I replaced my old large boxy caddy holders for this slim model.
