Secret Guide to Computers
This book was recommended to me by a friend-he said it was the most complete guide to computers he's seen. So I searched for it on ebay and bought it, on his recommendation. It is pretty detailed and good for those new to using a computer. (I'm pretty experienced on computers, but there is still something to learn in it.) I would say the main drawback is that it is pretty outdated. (this is the newest edition I could find too.)
So I would recommend that a newer revision be purchased, if there is one.

Blocking Board with a Plus!
Although other companies make this type of fit-together board (sort of like puzzle pieces), this one has the plus of a plastic cover that you pin down with circles and squares printed on it, that help you get your doily or 'whatever' symmetric and straight. That made it a no-brainer for me! Happily blocking several doilies I finished and really needed this for!

thread is smooth, good amount of yardage for the price.
Wish the colors were longer runs,,,
