Anker PowerCore 13400 Nintendo Switch Edition
    Apr 17, 2019
Great if you have a Nintendo Switch
This battery is very impressive. Its actually small in size, and packs enough juice to fully charge my Switch 1.5 times. It also does it tremendously fast. Its actually much faster than the dock if you are actively using the switch while charging. This is because when you dock, the switch will ramp up its power consumption to issue better performance. This makes it so less of the power that is supplied by the AC charger reaches the battery. If you charge with this battery instead of the dock, and play while in handheld, the power consumption will remain low and the battery can charge faster. You'll get the same effect if you play in handheld and use the AC power adapter to charge directly without the dock. Its small, the build quality feels great, and charges quickly when using the PD port (regular speed when using the IQ port). The drawback is that this battery brings no wall charger. It can be charged via the IQ port (USB-A) in a dozen different ways, but the best one is to use the PD port (USB-C) with the Nintendo Switch AC power adapter. Overall I really like this battery, and I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking to extend handheld Switch use. As far as i could find, this is the only battery out there certified for switch use and I didn't want to risk getting a cheaper option since the Switch doesn't use industry standard Power Delivery on its USB-C port. If you don't have a Nintendo Switch, then just get the standard version and save yourself a few bucks. Otherwise, go ahead, you won't find one better than this for a while.

8BITDO SN30 Pro Bluetooth Gamepad Controller for iOS, Android, Mac, Windows ++

Well built, compact, quality retro style controller
Ive been using this controller exclusively with my switch for almost a month now, and to say the truth, I love it. Its well built, it doesn't feel flimsy, plus its about the right size as an actual SNES controller (its a bit thicker, and a tad heftier on account of the added components - analogs, vibration, motion controls, bluetooth, extra buttons), but it does the job well. This controller always syncs right up with my switch, and has a home button as well as a working capture button. However, it cannot wake the console up. Im not sure if this is due to the fact that its a third party device, or if there is some missing update, but i think thats the only flaw. Now, mind you, im not a hard core gamer and I bought this because I enjoy retro gaming, and love the way it looks (plus the cheaper price point helped!). The battery has excellent life; I think it took around a week of playing for it to finally give out after the original charge I gave it. It has some cons tho, the smaller size will cramp your hands after extended play (or at least they do mine), but by extended i mean over 3 hours, which is not usual for me. The motion controls seem on point, i tested them mainly on Zelda BOTW, and the analogs are precise enough, the vibration is NOT HD rumble. Its a regular vibration like you would find on an xbox or playstation controller, but thats fine by me. It also does NOT have NFC, but really if you have a switch, the joycons already have NFC so this shouldnt be a real sticking point. It includes a USB-C to A charge cable thats rated USB 2.0. I would not recommend using it to charge your switch or to hook up your switch to your PC (as the switch wont recognize the cable properly), I left mine hooked up to my dock and use it strictly for charging the controller as it was intended. I think the biggest pro for me on this controller is its size. It makes it very portable, and I can easily pop it into one of the pockets in my backpack with no bulging issues. It wont fit in my switch carry case, but i think thats also due to the fact that my carry case is quite compact (it barely fits the wrist straps and a USB-C cable. All in all, I do highly recommend this controller. It is specially good for retro gaming, but will play well with most game types, and its much cheaper than the Switch Pro controller.
