The positives of the negative display
I have an older atomic solar G Shock with a positive display and this one syncs with the atomic clock better--it has done so every night since I bought it. I agree with the other positive comments about great functionality and comfort--love the bracelet. I'd like to say more about the negative display since it gets so many negative comments. It is true that one often has to find an optimum angle to view it in various lighting conditions. But if seeing the time at a quick glance at almost any angle in any lighting situation is of prime importance then neither kind--positive or negative display--is the right watch for you; there are many other types of watch that do this better. There are even aspects of the negative display that are better than the positive one. For example in the dark near a streetlamp this has better visibility than the positive one. And the positive display is static whereas the negative one shines differently depending on the angle and light source. It's more visually interesting. True, this may not be the watch to wear to a candlight dinner, but if you had your heart set on it you can always turn on the auto-light function.
