Good value, balanced XLR patchbay
A good value patchbay, can be turned around by moving the rack brackets to give either male or female sockets. Gives 16 sockets in a 1U package, so can give you all the inputs you need for a eight input interface and eight way expander - like the Focusrite Sapphire Pro 40 and a Focusrite Octopre. Use another the other way round for all the outs. Would be better if it was split so you could reverse half and use one per unit, but maybe they will think of that themselves sometime - lets hope.
All in all a good unit with the advantage of 16 connections in a space commonly occupied by 12. We liked them enough to buy two, with plans to buy more as the system expands.

Does what it's designed to do
It does what its supposed to do, put a plug in and electricity comes out - providing its plugged in and the red light is on ! Has external earthing point which is usefull. I use it at the top of the rack to connect fixed cable amplifiers which means it's much tidier. I use the switch as a global power on/off and it copes with the load all ok, but is only ever at 50% of rated value, how it copes with heavier loads I.D.K
Has shutters over the holes so electricity doesn't leak out of the un-used points !

Buy an original one - leave this one well alone
First day it worked, now after about 5 days it often locks up and won't control anything, the LED light indicating it is transmitting I.R. stays on way after the button is being pressed. Taking battery out restores function for a short while. When it does work the range is far inferior to the original remote. Not worth buying.
