Nice Motor Operator for the Price. New might be $9K, but used is under $1K.
Great product that is listed elsewhere as Siemens MTR-PN or other 2 letter suffixes depending on the control voltage. This is the motor operator to control the main breaker in Siemens Switchboards that is Frame "PG".
My particular main breaker was 1600A, so it was a catalog, NPX3B160.
When you put on this motor operator, be sure to install it in the tripped position or it will jam. You have to remove the face plate of the main breaker. You also need to make sure you have the correct control voltage because they come in several flavors.
Having a motor operator is a lot less involved versus installing a contactor or motorized breaker. A contactor is cheap and plentiful, but getting it installed is more work. A motorized breaker is super expensive and hard to find. Since this fits on top of the existing main breaker, it should in theory be an easier install and means to disconnect from the grid. We use them in building microgrids.

A powerful, reasonably-priced UPS solution
Arrived on schedule and is working well. Last UPS did not have enough power for our motor operator.
