Great laptop, runs a bit warm though
Everything about this laptop is ace except the CPU thermals. They're not abnormal, just a touch on the high side for the chip. The GPU runs oddly cool, though. One tip if you're gonna get this: Download Intel Xtreme Tweak utility and undervolt it. Do it about -0.125 to start. You have no way of harming your PC by doing this, worst case scenario is it'd lock up and the utility would reset itself the next boot. I did this and was able to shave off -0.140 and that took 10-15c off of my CPU, big difference going from 80-85c at peak to 68-70c

Inspired deviation in the B-tier from Cavia
I have to say I had a lot of fun with this one, Cavia has pretty much taken the endearing B-tier JRPG to an artform. The narrative and art design is highly unique and even as someone pretty overdosed and jaded on the genre trappings, I found it surprisingly engaging and downright interesting. Fun character growth, simple and straight forward magic and melee, lots of REALLY inventive encounters. Visuals have a nice color tone, good art direction, but it is ultimately a bit Playstation 2.5-esque. Music is just wonderful, probably my favorite soundtrack of the generation thus far. Ultimately, it's a rough around the edges title, but ultimately when the chips come down, does anyone really care if it's not as perfectly polished and presented? This completely nonsensical focus on the most ridiculous aspects of visual appeal is what's causing the console market to hemorrhage developers and money like it has been lately. Anyhow, kudos to Square on the publish and support. It's helped wash the taste of Final Fantasy XIII's barely-a-game nonsense out of my mouth.
