Better than nothing

This is the 7 joule "F" version. I prefer this over the HDR50 because it is visibly NOT a firearm, which does matter in a defense situation when law enforcement arrives. The HDR50 takes a wider range of ammunition, has a lower chance of misfiring, and has modification kits to increase power output, so it might be better for your needs. For me, the orange HDP is the way to go. If there were an orange version of the HDR I would prefer that over this.
