Metroland DVD
Metroland is a wonderful little film, superbly acted by all. It's 1977 and Chris (Christian Bale) discovers what his life really is when an old friend comes back into town, creating doubts and temptations. Friends from school, they planned an unorthodox life of freedom by never being tied down to one place or one woman. What his friend shows him is a glimpse of what could've been if he stayed on the path they talked about. Bale's portrayal of Chris is as only Bale can play him...unique, intense, and very sweet. Emily Watson is perfect as his wife, showing enough emotion to make you care for her character, and has a complete understanding of her husband while trying to hold onto her marriage. Toni (Lee Ross) is like a train wreck crashing into their quiet little life, making Chris believe he is the one who is bored and dissatisfied with his life. The revelations are eye-opening. Fans of Bale and Watson will not be disappointed. However, watch the film after the kiddies are tucked in. The casual nudity is not gratuitous and is done tastefully, and in the context of the story seems natural as only the Brits can do. Good luck getting your hands on this DVD gem as it is not widely available any longer.

These Squishies are adorable! :)
So fun to have, and relieves stress simply by pushing their tummies in. So soft.

Love This Film
Brilliant and believable, all actors are wonderful to watch. Rupert Graves is particularly remarkable as Scudder.
