sounds like a jet and runs like one
the fans on these systems sound like a jet taking off when they at full speed, but then this thing has got some serious processing power. didn't realize the hex cores were hyper-thread as well so its a 24 core system with a good amount of memory and plenty of room to add more.
the graphics were on board and not brilliant which is normal for a server.
I run it as a virtual machine host running several kvm machines for web server, media server and a couple of virtual machines for users who need to have particular operating systems.
So far the fans haven't got too fast which means it is handling the load of 4 VM running without any problems.
The use of sata hdd is nice as they are easily and readily available for upgrades.
I did play with stripped raid but preferred to use the 2 hdd separately so i can keep the important systems on an independent hdd to the less important ones.
Over all it is an extremely capable and great vales system from a good reliable supplier.
