The staff of life
Bread is more than the sum of its parts. Be it pizza, bun (sweat or savoury) bread is something special a gift of the gods.
This book takes you to the variety of breads all worth experimenting with.
I find baking (mostly the preparation) extremely cathartic and 150 recipes gives me three years of catharsis.
It takes a lot less time to bake than one might expect and this book will lead the reader along a path of great tranquility in food's most basic prepared product. A great read even if you don't bake. Just to see how the ingredients: water, flour and yeast can be transformed into the very staff of life.
