Not as good as the original but better than all the knockoffs I have tried
16 of 20 found this helpful I have been struggling with finding a decent replacement battery for my Galaxy S5. The "knockoffs" I have tried have been a total waste of money, lasting only a few hours on each charge despite meticulous "training" I did making sure the first few charges were complete discharges, followed by full 100% charges. My hopes were greater for this "original" Samsung battery, however, the results have also been disappointing. While noticeably better than the knockoffs, I still cannot get a full day out of a charge. I have resorted to utilizing the phone's "power saving" mode almost daily, which improves battery life, but inhibits incoming e-mail and some other apps. My guess is that the new operating system in the S5 might be eating up power, but it's hard to tell. I would be happy to purchase a "real" original battery from Samsung, but they have apparently discontinued manufacturing them. I will struggle along with this phone until my current phone lease is up next April and I can justify buying a new S7.
