Tung-Sol Platinum Matched OCTET (8) NEW NIB KT-120 KT120 tubes 24hr Burn-in

Compared to EL34s that I relpaced, these KT120s throw a larger, more detailed sound stage.

With the broader soundstage comes an analytical definition, unusual for tubes, that both exposes mediocre recording and presents well recorded material in all its glory and detail. These tubes are large, but if they will fit they can be an excellent upgrade to EL34s or KT88s.

Best Practice Application

The mask will take a while to apply or it will be a waste of time. All pieces fit perfect but must be placed exactly with edges burnished tight to prevent paint from getting under edges and onto the wrong places. If done with care results can be much better than the best freehand brushing or home made masking.
