For reduced power loads it's perfect
Using target reloads out of my RIA Compact 3.5" barrel. Velocity around 775fps so very comfortable for extended shooting sessions. The 20lb spring works perfectly in this application.

Surprising Quality
Good, stout leather with quality stitching. Holds well with .245, .264, .277 and .284 case families The 308 cartridge will work eventually but you'll need a couple days for the leather to stretch. Out of the box, it will NOT allow .338 cases. You could always wet the leather and stretch it using empty Brass cases...no different than a holster.
I WOULD like to see the belt slot leather be double stitched. It's next to impossible to do after the carrier is assembled but easy during manufacture. I have no doubt it's the only thing that could possibly fail during a lifetime of use.
In short, it looks and feels like you paid a whole lot more than roughly $20.

Careful on the sizing
1 of 2 found this helpful These pads overhang the standard front lip on the base of a steel 1911 magazine by quite a bit. They create a sharp lip that gets annoying quickly. The oversized edge is 1/16” past the steel, sharp and irritates the small finger inside of just a few rounds. The mags I tried are Checkmate, Ed Brown, Colt and Dan Wesson brands. I’ll be going back to my old brand of base pads from Midway. Yes, I’ll grind that leading edge back but still...why should anyone have to? For around $10 it’s a lesson learned.
