Using massive understatement, "They've still got it!"
Toto has always been a band of musicians rather than just a bunch of musicians in a band. As a result, those who step up to take the place of their fallen comrades have to possess that certain quality of being a bold unpretentious trend setter. This current derivative of the band has met any and all expectations I have of their work. "Luke" continues to promote pure guitar genius in both ability and tone. Bobby Kimball, David Paich and Steve Lukather offer that timeless Toto vocal virtuoso very few rock bands ever achieve.
Just get this album; whether you've forgotten how great these guys were back in the day...or if you're about to discover for the very first time some ageless rock and roll brilliance just as good (and in some ways even better) than it was nearly three decades ago.
